Breaking the Cycle is a feature documentary scheduled to be released to the general public January 2012.

Breaking the Cycle is rooted in practical tips, tools and strategies to help individuals overcome negative beliefs and behaviors that keep them trapped in destructive cycles. Breaking the Cycle is a documentary that is applicable to all individuals and was created as a resource to help individuals and organizations "break the cycle" no matter what issues they are facing. Breaking the Cycle explores, but is not limited to the negative and destructive vicious life cycles of:
• Gang Life
• Teen Pregnancy
• Absentee Parents
• Violent Crimes and Deaths
• Substance Abuse, Use and Sales
• Jail and Prison Incarceration and Recidivism
• School Drop Out (Grade School, High School and College)
• Emotions and Feelings of Helplessness and Hopelessness

Currently and upon the release of Breaking the Cycle, I will be offering a series of leadership, motivational and academic achievement and success keynotes and workshops entitled, Breaking the Cycle and Live Your Dreams Tour.

  • This is very powerful and potent message being delivered by this young Man,I watched him grow survive and branch out from the concrete jungle of Chicago westside, every word he speak on did not come from a book or movie,I was there when he came from the hospital, and the day he graduated from college, all of us from that end didn't fall, but I can guarantee a lot did…and he was an eyewitness, listen to this Brother. Big Red Son.

  • great stuff

  • AWESOME!!!! This will be a great tool to educate our youth and the adults who want to help them. I as a Caucasian woman have experienced the illegal substance use and sold drugs to support my habit and pay my bills.Substance Use Disorders know no boundaries. I am blessed to be sober now. You, JD, have been my inspiration and have saved my life. Sincerely, Garcia

  • Amazing..Luv it mayne

  • This is amazing Jermaine! I'm so blessed to know such a wonderful man like u!!!! Tishia Bradley

  • Hard to say that I'm looking forward to this. I don't look forward to seeing more of the pain of struggling Americans. But I look forward to his suggestions for breaking the cycle; I hope to share in some part of that. Having worked with Jermaine at Century College, I have no doubt that this will be a far-reaching and deeply impacting film.

  • WOW! That's all I can Say!

  • You are a wonderful role model. I wish you all the best and hope to have you come speak at Cornell University one day. You have a lot to share.
