  • I... wow. This just makes me angry. Do these women not even realize how disrespectful they're being? David was willing to come onto their show and talk about something important to him and a lot of other people, and they turn it into a joke. Is it really that hard to understand that some people don't experience sexual attraction? I don't know what sexual attraction feels like, but I know and acknowledge that it exists. People like these women are what make so many asexuals feel broken.

  • I wish those 4 immature hags would have shut up and let the man speak. On a more positive note, even though I'm heterosexual, I support asexuality to the fullest. Yay for asexuals!

  • Why are they being bitches!!

  • @ExtinctionIsHere I actually see it as more the opposite of bisexuality. It sort of completes the circle. There's hetero and it's opposite homo. There's bi, which is hetero AND homo, and there's asexual, neither hetero nor homo.

  • @ExtinctionIsHere asexual here: it depends. There are 2 kinds of asexuals: romantic and aromantic. Aromantic asexuals don't feel sexual attraction OR romantic attraction. So they don't date. Romantic asexuals do have romantic relationships, and among them, the kinds of people they date vary. So some only date men, some only women, some both. You know Tim Gunn from that fashion show? He's a homoromantic asexual. So he likes men, but he has no desire for sex.

  • i think if you asked a gay person to tell you if david jay is gay he d say "probably yes"

    the whole gaydar thing

  • @ExtinctionIsHere There are also Romantic asexuals who are romantically attracted to one gender though, so it really depends on the person I think (I was reading the FAQ section on Asexuality, so I'm no expert).

  • @ExtinctionIsHere -- Yes, you could date either gender if you were attracted to neither. That doesn't make it bisexuality, it's still asexuality.

  • So is asexuality a form of bisexuality? Because he says he dates "people" not that he dates "girls". What makes a person straight or gay is the attraction...So if the attraction never exists then he would be able to date both men and women.

  • I'm very impressed by how patient and friendly David was throughout the interview. I would have lost my shit if they were being that rude and intrusive to me.

  • Wow, Well done David. I cannot believe how patient he was in spite of such ignorance. I know little about asexuality but sniggering and making it a joke is just disrespectful. Let the guy speak. And also some of those comments just made them look plain thick. I can't believe they were happy to broadcast their ridiculous levels of ignorance and lack of ability to LISTEN. There is so much about asexuality that I don't understand but, as a non asexual, I still know it EXISTS. Fools.

  • A very immature , snigger snigger & disrespectful interview , poor man handled them well.
