"Stop being such a tease" I demanded, and he instantly pressed his lips against mine.
**End POV**

**Shannon's POV**
Next day was Saturday, so I had stupid work. I hate working in the summer! My alarm went off, but I just hit sleep and rolled over again. Then my phone went off. I knew who it was before I even touched it because of the ringtone I had set. I lunged for it, knocking me clock off the table. "Hi!"
Cody: Good morning, Shannon.
I fell back onto my pillows. "How come you're up so early?"
Cody: *chuckles* Somebody has to get you ready for work.
I grumbled.
Cody: Oh come on, it's not so bad.
"But I'm working from opening until 3 today" I complained.
Cody: Well, maybe I'll just have to come see you then.
A smile spread across my face. "Would you, please?"
Cody: Anything for you. But, first you have to get there.
I could basically hear his laughter he was holding back. "Alright then. If you don't want to talk to me anymore" I sighed and then hung up.
Two seconds later, my phone rang. God, I loved him. He never let me hang up on him. I remember this one time, I was really pissed off......

*Flashback*
**1 year ago... day before spring break**
"Get AWAY from me Kyle!"
Kyle: *takes me wrists and pull me close* Oh come on babe. Don't be like that.
"Don't call me that!" I shrieked. "I broke up with you over a YEAR ago!"
Kyle: Oh, hon, you didn't really want to though. I forgive you though.
"There's NOTHING to forgive! Because I DID mean to break up with you, you perv!" I threw my elbow back and he gasped. I prided myself on my pointy elbows.... at least when I needed to get away from creepers.
Kyle: *grabs me again* Ohhh. Feisty.
I was shaking now. And then I saw my bus driver.
Miss Vicky: Kyle Bernstein! Release Miss Silverstreni this moment!
He let me go and I ran for it as she started yelling. Then somebody caught me arm and stopped me. I screamed.
Cody: Shannon! It's me!
But my fear melted into anger. Where had he BEEN!? I yanked my arm out of his grip. "Why weren't you THERE!?"
Cody: *looks confused* Shannon, darling.. what's wrong?
"Leave me alone Cody LINELY!" I shrieked. "You should have been there! You should have been HELPING me!"
Cody: *backs away* Shannon......
But I turned and ran for my bus as they started moving. As we pulled away I saw he was still frozen with confusion. My phone rang after I had locked myself in my room. I glared at the caller ID. "I told you leave me alone!" and I hung up.
He called again. I answered again and was about to yell when he started talking.
Cody: Shannon, I'll always be there for you! Tell me what happened.
"But you WEREN'T there!" and I hung up again. I started ignoring his calls. I was thinking about Kyle. He had been my boyfriend for 6 months. I had thought he was perfect. But nothing good ever lasts... does it? He started pressuring me to have sex with him. And I didn't want that. I broke up with hi,... and he started stalking me.
Voicemail: Cody: Shannon. Please stop ignoring me. I'm sorry I wasn't there for.. whatever happened. Please, talk to me. I care about you too much to leave you alone.
My eyes started tearing up as I listened to the message. Over. And over. And over again. Then I finally called him.
*End Flashback*

And he always did that for me. No matter how many times I told him I hated him, or that he needed to leave, or that I never wanted to see him again; he called me back.
Ginger: You're late.
She's my boss. I hate her. "Only 5 minutes. There was traffic"
Ginger: You know the traffic is bad around here. get up 5 minutes earlier.
I rolled my eyes as I pulled on my uniform. "Sure thing" I yawned, not intending to at all. I already had had to get up at 7 to get ready. But.. it's not too bad. It's Rita's.
Cody came 30 minutes before my shift ended. He was going to walk home with me.
Cody: *smiles at me* Hey babe.
"Hi Cody. How's your day going?"
Cody: Better now. Yours?
I gave him a look.
Cody: Right.
Ginger: NO SOCIALIZING!
"Nobody's HERE!"
Ginger: YOU KNOW THE RULE!
I rolled my eyes. I knew it. And everybody broke it, including Ginger. But I was the only 1 she yelled at for it.
