Tony T here from Gamblers Television covering the NFL "Vegas Style" all season long.

The Tennessee Titans finished the 2007 regular season with a 10-6 record and earned a berth in the postseason. They accomplished this by beating the Indianapolis Colts in week 17 who had nothing to play for. If Indy plays their starters in week 17 the Titans lose and are a 9-7 team non-playoff team and Cleveland would have entered the post season. They were very lucky to draw Indy in that spot. The Titans traveled to San Diego in the Wildcard playoffs and were beaten 17-6. Quarterback Vince Young will play for a new offensive coordinator in 2008 as Norm Chow was let go by head coach Jeff Fisher. Young struggled throwing only 9 TD passes and 17 interceptions with a quarterback rating of 71.1 last season. Oddsmakers have set the Tennessee Titans projected win total for the 2008 season at 8 wins

Schedule:

Tennessee plays in the AFC South and that means two games with Indy, Jacksonville and Houston. Tennessee went 4-2 against the division and swept Houston and got a Christmas gift win from Indy. And by the way they go to Indy in week 17 again and maybe another Christmas gift win from the Colts in 2008 that will most likely be resting their starters. All the Titans want for Christmas is the Colts in week 17. The AFC South plays the NFC North and AFC South this season. But exactly like Jacksonville they host the tougher teams from those divisions in Minnesota, Green Bay, Pittsburgh and Cleveland while traveling to Cincinnati, Baltimore, Chicago and Detroit. Over players want the weaker teams at home because it's easier to gain victories. Road games are tough anywhere in the NFL. As a third place team in the AFC South last seasons that means two games against the other third place AFC clubs so a road game at hapless Kansas City and the hapless Jets at home.

Offense:

Vince Young has to perform better and regressed in 2007 and is why Norm Chow was let go. They are trying to work on his footwork and delivery but those are things Mack Brown's coaching staff at Texas should have done. The team was last in red zone efficiency last season and settled for way too many field goals. Young's receiving corps dont appear to be the vertical game breaking types. The Titan receivers had only 8 TD's last season. Their running game is fine as LenDale White is coming off an 1100-yard season and Chris Johnson out of East Carolina was acquired in the first round. Now Johnson put up good numbers at East Carolina but Conference USAs defenses really stunk up college football. Expect a lot of passes thrown in the direction of tight end Alge Crumpler who was acquired in the offseason.

Defense:

Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth was signed in the first day of training camp so the Titan fans can all breath a sigh of relief. When he is healthy Haynesworth is the most dominating defensive lineman in the league. Teams cant go up the middle against the Titans with big Albert clogging it up. The Titans defense improved greatly last season after being among the worst tacklers in the league in 2006 and 2005. Jevon Kearse was acquired in the offseason in free agency but the defensive lineman's performance began to decline during his years with the Eagles. He has had only 16 tackles combined over his last 2 seasons. Teams might run at the veteran this season as he puts a lot of emphasis on rushing the passer. David Thornton and Keith Bullock lead the linebacking corps. They both are really good tacklers and exceptional in pass coverage. Their secondary came together last season and cornerbacks Cortland Finnegan and Nick Harper are both fearless against the run. They aren't afraid of sticking their helmets into an opposing running back.

And now to my Selection:

Jeff Fisher has done a great job of turning around his defense the past season. Gone are the days when he will have to resort to gimmicks in games like he did in 2006 at Indy performing onside kicks after each score because his defense couldn't stop the Colts nor anyone for that matter. But the question marks remain with the offense and Vince Young's ability to throw the ball. What also doesnt help Young is his shaky receivers. Jeff Fisher had to overhaul his team and has fixed one side of the ball but will need more time to fix the other side. Also there might be a leak on Kearse's side of the line so I expect teams to run at him this season. Tennessee does play a tough schedule this season.

Play the Tennessee Titans under 8 wins for the 2008 season.

Selection: Play Under 8 wins in 2008 Regular Season.
