  • Also I just noticed this: check out around 2:58 the violinist is plucking out a solo but no one's shining a light on him or recognizing it. So Joe kneels down next to him because he knows all the spotlights will follow him and they illuminate the violinist.

It's such a cool little moment cause it shows both what a master of the stage and selfless guy Joe was. I never met him but I love seeing little moments like this that show someone's true nature like that.

  • it makes me want to cry that joe is gone, the ramones are no more and people are buying justin bieber albums. we need a new hero. god bless you joe and may your soul rest in peace

  • Joe, I love and miss you,mate.

  • All ways giving never taking. RIP Joe

  • An absolute entertainer, and all around great guy. One thing I'm always disappointed about is not being in my teens or older during the days The Clash were around.

  • 4 people have absolutely no taste.

  • Blessed are we to have existed with such a legend.

  • RIP Joe, you helped me through my youth when England was changing. You will always be the man. 1977 lives on .

  • RIP Joe.. Love this performance. Gone far too soon.

  • @mistycara Got to see him with the Clash the same year at the US Festival

  • Not a day goes bye That I celebrate the music he left us............Not a day goes bye that I lament the music that was lost!! RIP Joe!

  • I so love Joe Strummer. He was such an amazing person and so incredibly talented. I am lucky enough to have seen him perform live when he was the frontman for The Clash in '83. He was fu****g fantastic!!
