  • Tristan and Isolde is my all time favorite movie! <3 James Franco

  • Tristan & Isolde is my favorite movie. I personally think its way better than Romeo & Juliet (which I also like)

  • Though I was way younger and these stories usually affect life more at that earlier age than later, I find Tristan And Isolde way better than the R & J movie. Dicaprio wasn't that good back then as he became, and the story, the details are less detailed as well imho. Not to mention, I fell in love with Sophia Myles instantly...:)

  • yes, why couldn't you have made the song Liebestod??????????????????????

Plus don't bring the Titanic into it because 1 Romeo + Juliet was made first, 2 the Titanic should have been about the boat and not about a love story and 3 There is nothing to do with the Titanic here except Leonardo. SNAP!

  • You couldn't have made the song Isolde's Liebestod?

  • Reminds me of Titanic...

Jack, Rose is yours, not Juliet.

  • @Hoopermazing Wow, thanks for the information, it's pretty interesting. I'll do a deep search about this.

  • @Hoopermazing correction: ...know it now...

  • @solange001 No. At least 1000 years. You have heard of the Romans, right? Ovid lived from 43 BC to 17 AD. The first mention of anything to do with Tristan is in the 11th century AD... and that is far from the story of Tristan and Iseult as we know it know. So, that's over 1000 years right there. And, Ovid probably didn't make up the story of Pyramus and Thisbe. He just wrote a story about a preexisting mythological tale.

  • @Hoopermazing I know, I saw a play of "Pyramus and Thisbe" once, It's beatiful too. But it's not a thousand years older but maybe five hundred years, right?

  • @solange001 They're both adaptions of "Pyramus and Thisbe," which is more than a thousand years older than "Tristan and Isolde."

  • Nagyon szép :) ♥♥♥
