For those of you saying WAR is copying WoW, you're kinda right. Lore wise, definatley not. Warhammer was here first. Mechanics wise, yes there is a similarity. This exists because players are used to it, it works, and it is effective, for example, the UI (user interface) is similar in WAR and WoW. But, when it comes to gameplay, WAR blows the pants off of WoW.

As we've all seen the Warhammer Online intro, apparently a Warrior-Priest is not enough to fight a Chaos champion guy.

If WAR copied so many things from WOW and in the end managed to be a better game why are people even complaining? Change to the better game instead of being worried about all the wasted hours you put into WOW, all hours spent on games are wasted if you are not having FUN!

Mechanics wise, no. Warhammer is a mimic of it's company's (Mystic) older title, Ultima. A very popular online RPG from the late 90s, Dark ages of Camelot stole quite a bit from it, and World of Warcraft from that. What's wrong with using what works?

warrior priest is a fun class, its alot like WoW's paladin class.

ive only played up to level 10 on my WP, but so far its alot better designed than WoW's paladin.

For those of You who don't know. Warcraft was a copied from Warhammer. Games workshop did not approve of the project. And it was renamed Warcraft. Games workshop is trying to build a completely different MMO. It should be interesting. Eventually some other company will try to do the same. Its all about setting the bar as high as possible.

I guess if you would read books instead of thinking you know everything in advance you would know that there isnt one game in creation that hasnt ripped its concepts from existing merchandize.

They all borrowed with a heavy shovel, from Heinlein and Tolkien and a couple of others.

And they took their inspiration from western myth and science, but at least there still was some thinknig outside the box in their books.

If warhammer copied off of WoW then I guess the mutiple years of RPG roleplaying games are copied off of WoW too before it even existed.

I guess you would say that Robert Heinlein who was a visionary writter, who published the book Starship Troopers before most of you where born.

Copied the book of the movie that was made a couple of years ago.

I guess you would say that the movie was a cheap copy of Starcraft which its universe is a total rip off of Heinlein too.
