This book is a reality check, there are no sugar coated scenarios or watered down phrases. It is raw and true to life, so much that you may jump out of your seat if interrupted while reading. You will get to know the characters so well, that you may see them and feel their emotions. It is written with such detail that you will feel as connected to the characters as you are to your own life. The stories although fiction deal with issues that plague today's' society and unlike most stories, they do not have happy endings. Unfortunately true life has that disadvantage. These three stories are sure to remind you of situations dear to you or someone you know.The Black Rose Diaries will lure you into worlds you might have heard of, even thought of, but will never want to go.Thankfully, you're interested enough to visit, so sit down, buckle your seat and enjoy the ride.

This was riveting. I do a lot of work with Domestic Violence groups and this was profound and courageous.
