ENGLISH accent, not BRITISH. Hate when an English accent is referred to as "British". I'm British (Scottish). I have a Scottish accent. I do not sound like what you have just described. We don't all sound the same in Britain, and each country has different accents in different regions. ENGLISH. NOT BRITISH.

I lived in Gloucestershire and had an accent. I moved to the states at 10 years old, and while I've lost most of my accent, I still run the words together, drop my 'r' and 'h' letters. When I'm drunk, it's even more fun as the accent suddenly becomes more prounced. Every one always loves when I say city centre. (I say it as sih'E sen' ah)

@dengrad even written down it was terrible ;]
Maybe the best why to learn a 'British accent' is to watch British tv series.
