Ray was the HEART of the movie! His death was very symbolic. You obviously need to watch it again. He was much funnier than Louis. I do agree that they should've done more with Dr. Facilier. I felt it was just as good as the Disney movies from the 90's.

I personally felt that Tiana and Prince Naveen were the heart of the movie. I just personally thought Louis and the redneck frog hunters not that I hated Ray, oh not at all.

Could this be that Disney is now trying to rely more on their animated rather than their hacks like Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers? This is a sign!!!!!!!!!!!

CGI sucks! I loathe stupid ugly CGI. I miss old tradional animation from disney soooo much. Disney animation was a thing of art and beauty and it's all but dead now. I'm seriously miffed that Disney is doing another fairy tale Princess movie (Rupunzel aka Tangled) and it's going to be freakin CGI! Damn it!

I agree on many points here but I disagree with your opinion on Ray. Ray was not directly a comic relief but more of a caracher that needed to the plot becose when I think about it many importen things that happend, started with Ray saying or doing sometings. I agree that his death was unnecacery but to the movies credit they did a very memmorible & well developt scene of it. Exept for that you did a very strong review and I glad you liket this movie , I did to.

Personally I loved this film. Not just because it's a return to hand drawn animation, but like you said, it broke the cliches through out the film. I wish I was aware of that in my review.

Ray's death was a shocker and it was like if flounder from the little mermaid had died. Heck, it was through him that Naveen was basically inspired to tell Tiana he loved her. Personally, I thought this was amazing, I especially loved the jazzy songs. They made you wanna get up and dance. Plus, Tiana is a wonderful rolemodel. She works to make her dreams come true.

It's good to see that Disney is going back to its roots. I'm a fan of 2D animation and was getting a bit fed up with how eveything these days needs to be CGI.
