"Today it feels good to be an African", was Thabo Mbeki's expression of pride about a continent rising. The former president has emerged from the shadows to launch the Thabo Mbeki Foundation, that will focus on nurturing a new breed of african leader through education & dialogue. The body is designed to take forward the goals of the African Renaissance, which defined his era in power. Former presidents John Kuffuor; Joaquim Chissano; Italy's Romano Prodi have offered their support and believe now is the time to turn the dreams into reality. ABN's Lerato Mbele speaks with former South African President Thabo Mbeki.
Its not only his responcibility alone but one that binds us all. The unfortunate part is that we are all looking down on ourselves as africans and dont believe we can contribute. I have a quastion Do we really need the developed countries so much that without their presence we can't make it?. Come now Africans its up to you that this be done by us. I believe we can.

powerful man with powerful ideas, investment is truly needed in this country.
Hoping that our current president won't go out of his way to crush but support the foundation and its ideas.
