Tribute to the USS New York's Maiden Voyage

On November 2, 2009, the American warship U.S.S. New York was welcomed into New York City harbor. Her bow is embedded with 7 tons of steel from the World Trade Center and her slogan is "Never Forget." She is a grand ship with a sacred trust. She was welcomed to the harbor on that day by a flotilla of ships and New York City fireboats, spraying red, white and blue water. The parade was led by Pilot Boat 1, herself named the New York. This video was shot on her decks. The audio track is courtesy of Cookiehead, who created the American Anthem for our warriors in Iraq for the Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon's IROQ BAGHDAD in June 2009. God Bless the U.S.S. New York and all her crew and all our brave warriors. Proud to be American!
