"Proud to be Pinoy!"....."unecessary phrase"? what??? ummmm "mayabang ka dahil pinoy ka"? huh?........ ahem...thats not how you translate it MFB.....true "proud" in Tagalog could mean "mayabang" (negative context)...but Pinoys use it as a positive context which in Tagalog means "Ipinagmamalaki" or "Taas-noo" so "Proud to be Pinoy!" traslates as "Ipinagmamalaki ko na Pinoy ako!" or "Taas-noo dahil ako ay Pinoy!"....---->
