That is not correct in fact. You see. Buddha was from India, and he followed the concept, and taught of the concept of reincarnation. It is the tribulation of Samsara, the repetitive cycle. To say what you say now suggests you are not Tibetan, but if you are, I am sorry but your statement is not correct, and flies in the face of Tibetan culture.
Buddhism isn't from Tibet, it came from great teacher's from India, and from Padmasambhava. All of them taught of reincarnation.
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama knows first hand how it was to suffer under a cruel Chinese regime yet he surpassed the anger and is instead forgiving towards the Chinese people and teaches us (Tibetans) to forgive as well. Only an enlightened or a higher being can forgo the miseries brought on them and still be able to teach others about compassion nonetheless practicing it oneself on a daily basis
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama is a true reincarnation of his former self, the 13th Dalai Lama and of Chenrezig, the buddha of compassion. I believe in him and through him I am able to believe that such a thing called reincarnation can exist for no ordinary human being can endure such pain, atrocity as he has as the leader of the Tibetan people.
I believe in reincarnation, it isn't forced on any Tibetan let alone other Buddhists to believe it. It is one's choice and with thorough research that one determines on themselves whether to believe in the entire situation of reincarnation. Of course in today's times, there are a lot of misuse of this special system for their own benefit.
I am sorry I don't get your point still. Do you or you don't believe in Reincarnation? I think President Bush Might be the reincarnation of Mao Tse dong. Nepal has moved on and abandoned the KING reincarnation system,we Tibetan should do that too.
Pls don't think you are the first or only one who don't believe in Reincarnatio, it is fact that the incarnation is misused by some people, but you don't need act like missionary and think you are the only one who know the facts of life. I believe not only in incarnation but also can smell the coffe above all distinguische the quality of the coffe. I am a modern tibetan living many years in Europe, in this society it's not everthing shiny !!
I am a Tibetan and I don't believe in those reincarnation thing. Stop fooling people. Those reincarnation traditions were purely Hinudism, not Buddhism. In fact, The Buddha totally against Reincarnation. No wonder, we lost Tibet. If we keep fooling around with this kind of stuff, we will never gain our country back. Wake up and smell the coffee.
