It's not even the love between Aladdin and Jasmine that gets me, it's the fact that the Genie was SHOCKED that someone wished for his freedom. He pauses for a second before picking up the lamp in disbelief, and has that grand revelation. Not all people are in it for themselves.

Boys and girls, do you see what happens when you don't pick a career path and follow it? You end up wasting three wishes. Moral of the story: make an appointment with your counselor while in high school/college and choose a specific career for yourself. Then you can use your three wishes on something you truly desire instead of searching for a career =)
