Japanese giant salamander オオサンショウウオ

体色が白っぽい個体です。某公的保護施設見学の際の撮影。

（注）個体は某公的保護施設の野外自然的人工河川で飼育されています。この画像撮影時には、展示用に一時的にケース（押し入れ収納ケース）に入れられているものです。個体­は、平成14年に施設で産卵・ふ化したもので、体長は30センチ弱だったでしょうか。有名な体色の個体だそうです（と聞いたような気がします、確か）。
外国の方が「水槽が小さくてかわいそう」みたいなコメントをときどきくださるので、一応記します。
つたない英語で書いても誤解を招きそうなので、がんばって外国の方に日本語の説明を解して頂だけるよう希望します。

Yeah, you really should translate the description before talking shit about this video. It explains how it's from some sort of wildlife preserve, and they only have it in that tub to show someone. They just got the name wrong. And they apologize for not translating, and hope people don't comment about how they're treating it badly, hahahahaha, you guys are just internet TROLLS.

That animal looks alot like a Chinese Giant salamander. They tend to have that orange bloched coloration.

If you own this animal I would suggest looking up wheather it really is a Japanese or Chinese species because the Chinese one is unimaginably endangered and all captive animals should be bred in captivity. I don't distrust your ability to take care of it. They are easy to care for in captivity so long as you have something big enough to keep them in. But keep in mind how rare it might be.
