i have a mamba monster and waterproofed it with liquid tape. that night the esc started on fire!! i purchased a new esc and waterproofed it with CorrosionX, the same bottle used in this video, and have been driving in the snow and water for weeks. This is a miracle product!!! anyone that has any doubts, dont worry. it works!!

@bumblebeeetuna All green beans were harmed before the making of this film by my Chocolate Lab, Mindy. No bean was spared and the slaughter was quick and merciless.

But what happened to the green beans?

@evgeniuscom I have no experience using the HD product so I can't give advice on its use but I've been told it has a wax and I'm not too keen on wax on my bearings and such. SpeedX is perfectly fine to use on bearings and would probably be just fine in your motor, but know that it doesn't have the polar bonding agent that Corrosion X has. In other words, it does'nt waterproof and is essentially a lubricant only.
Thanks splitting. Im accustomed to using some photo block stuff on license plates and those left a permanent unremovable residue. Will this work if i just spray it through the case? I, dont wanna take it apart. And how water resistant is the mamba monster motor

@kiodiekin Well, I think you're taking a pretty good risk that the fluid didn't get onto every surface if you don't take it apart. Lots of people use the aerosol spray and just hose it down vs. dipping like I do, Would it work if you just saturated it through the fan and then drained it? Probably, but I wouldn't count on it.
Shoot some CorrosionX in your motor. It won't hurt it, and it will protect it. The motor itself is water resistant, but not rust resistant.

Does corrosion x leave a film substance on the circuit board or does it dissapate like wd40
kiodiekin 1 week ago
@kiodiekin It will leave an "oily" film on the board. Even after you drain it and sort of wipe the excess off, it will look shiny. Totally normal.

does corrosionx withstand the heat if the esc is use frequently?
zaintlouis 1 month ago
@zaintlouis Yes. I usually re-treat my ESC when I can't smell CorrosionX anymore after it's ran. That's usually 4-6 months.
