From the musical 1776, this is the Overture and the first song, "Sit Down, John," from the 1997 revival soundtrack. I make no claims to ownership of this song or the musical. Enjoy.

  • WOW!

  • Anybody have any footage of Spiner in this production?

  • If he tells me to, i will

    VOOOOTE YES!!!

  • Brent Spiner never ceases to amaze with the depth and breadth of his versatile abilities. Good God. What a fine, strong voice he has.

  • Brent Spiner's rendition of this song (and the dialog preceding it) is very expressive indeed. If William Daniels has ever had occasion to listen to this, there might be places in the script (as well as the song) where he's kicking himself & thinking "Why didn't I think of that?"

  • My biggest question is why he hasn't recorded more. His powerful charisma enhances anything he does. Bravo Brent!

  • I hyperventilated a little when I found out that Brent Spiner has played John Adams in this. One of my favourite musicals ever. <3

    GOOD GOD.

  • spiner got a great voice! love it!
