  • Great piano solo. Remindes me of Oscar Peterson. No small task.

  • Back in the day I could barely relate to Keith Emerson"s backward Beethoven. Now I love it.

  • @darthgrillus96 Then again, the Moog is more than just a keyboard instrument. It takes a good understanding of generating analog wave-forms, modulations and other electro-musical concepts to get all the sounds just the way you like them. We had one where I used to work and it was a lot of fun to play with. But I agree the piano is the king of instruments. (One might say the organ is the obsessive-compulsive dictator of keyboard instruments...:-)

  • @eurisko618 :) if you want to play moog well, you obviously have to be good to play piano :) . Piano is the mother of his song

  • se ho iniziato a suonare il piano è grazie a lui :) Dio avrà sicuramente tutte le canzoni degli ELP nel suo MP3 :)

  • Bellissimo, l'ho veramente apprezzato. Però bisognerebbe sparare al cameraman.

  • I saw ELP in concert several times during the early '70s and usually found his solo piano sets to be the most amazing (better than throwing knives into his Moog or stabbing his organ keyboard to create a tone cluster to improvise around!). Eventually I moved on to mostly classical music but it's still great to hear/see these clips from the past. Great times!!

  • wtf? he's playing ragtime, classical, jazz, and blues all at the same time!

  • sounds like emerson has had a blood transfusion with art tatum!!!

  • Well, I have never played the keyboards myself ( I play guitar, but I don't read music) and I am still in awe of Keith Emerson. 35 years since I bought my first album and still can't get enough.

  • @weednlogic Oh, I meant "As a minor keyboardist myself"; I didn't mean to imply that Keith is a minor keyboardist. That would be contradictory of my later statements, now, wouldn't it? And I'm not a big fan of using doublethink ;D
