Highlights of the High Altitude LEGO Extravaganza (HALE). Launched two balloons which ended up just shy of 100,000 feet. All payloads were controlled with LEGO Mindstorms NXT's or RCX's.

  • @RCAvhstape i agree it SUCK!! IT RUIN THE PEACE AND BEATY IS THAT

  • awesome!!

  • Cool video, nice shots.

    Music suxxors.

  • Nice shots! Do your electronics have to be kept in a pressurized compartment?

Also I was wondering why you guys don't use 3 or 4 balloons instead of just one. You could have your payload tethered at multiple points which would probably help with the spinning and you could get some better video footage.

  • WoW! I found your experiment looking for nxt balloons, but this stratospheric balloon whith different gatgets is wonderfull!!

The pictures are really nice. How did you find the modules on the floor? GpS?

  • That's really cool! Were the balloons filled with helium...and if so...how many cubic feet? Thanks!
