Jethro Tull (Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, John Evan, Bariemore Barlow, David Palmer, Dave Pegg) performing excerpts of 'Aqualung' and Peggy's Pub at the Hammersmith Odeon, London, UK in April 1980.
These guys (particularly this line up) seem to get so overlooked and I can't figure out why. I am 34 years old and I don't think I have ever had a (same age, younger or older) friend who liked them. Anyway, I *LOVE* these guys and live they fucking SMOKED. The interplay between Pegg and Barre was insanely amazing (especially live) and Ian was (to me) absurdly talented and a great front man. Thank you for posting this video - I really enjoy it and have watched it multiple times.
I saw this concert in Frankfurt am Main, Germany in 1980. This was Peggy's first tour with the band and he certainly added some great color to the band in the aftermath of the loss of John Glasscock. Peggy was a great part of the band for many years and may well have been the best bassist the band had for a long time in the "technical" sense. But nobody put on a show like Jeffrey Hammond!!! Thanks for posting this vid! LC
