After Seth's presentation to the Oklahoma State Secular Organization (full video at http://youtu.be/stmMXTlahyM), he spent some time taking audience questions.

Many have asked that the video of this Q&A session be posted. Enjoy.

Seth said how he was tired of non-believers talking about christians like they were sub-human, but what about the christians that do the same thing to us or gays or liberals? I have heard MANY hateful things come out of the christian camp even more so in modern times. A lot of atheists are just trying to stand up for their and others rights and we don't like to see others rights get infringed upon so that may be why some atheists talk about christians the way they do.

You can certainly reduce yourself to their level, tossing out insults and negative labels. But ultimately, I think a higher road is more productive.

Richard Dawkins hit me like a bus, his arguments were a major factor in my leaving superstition. If you hold the line and fight the hard fight, you can change minds.

Dawkins is great. I discovered him after becoming an atheist, but had I discovered him before, I'd have left religion way earlier because my doubts were strong from a young age.

continued) after his ego game stopped, he stated his question clearly, i gave him the breakdown from the start of string theory and worked it all the way through evolution with explanations on the basic need for survival drove the way things evolved. i haven't heard back from him since .( i even remembered when i referenced Allah to use honorifics.)

it certainly worked with a muslim person who decided to keep ranting and ranting to where i couldn't find the questions he was trying to get answers to, he wanted just to understand how life was able to come from virtual nothingness, we were agreeing about things like the way science makes it easier to disregard the god of his choice, and finally i just flat out told him i was not going to answer questions i couldn't find in all the rantings and reminded him i wasn't being disrespectful (MORE)

I get the idea of trying to take the high road, but sometimes the creatards (LOL) are way down there in the crevasse and can't hear anything but the echoes of repeated insults.

Those insults and the talking down will stick in their heads. I hope, driving them to start researching what people are saying because it's the only way to stop the echoes.

The major fundy types or Hovind ilk who cannot discern ANY written word are fair game for ridicule. Many like the WBC refuse debate, earning scorn

Greetings from Denmark and Europe, where I was luky to grow up in "kultural atheism" althought in a (liberal) priest family. When I see news from your country, I understand that you fight a hard struggle. Here are people saying "god" in ther talking more than once a year, considered as "wierdos". I like the filosofical piont of view of view: all is about, how you master your owm life. Nowadays, religion is only an inhibition...

Seth, I feel fairly confident of my heterosexuality, but you are a very attractive man. The voice, the hair, the body, the intellect, the humor. Wow. :) Seriously, though, EXCELLENT presentation, both the Q&A and the featured speech beforehand!

Amazing Atheist, at times a genius, at times a fool. He's great when he wants to be.
