I have one on my Tout Terrain Silkroad. Absolutely fantastic!!
Way better then any derailleur I have ever used. Smooth and precise.

how much does that thing weigh?

@chukchee go buy shit if you want cheap...

Nice hubs, would be great on a touring bike.

For Christ's sake don't make them cheaper. Cheaper manufacturing means the use of less durable materials.

As an Rohloff owner I agree with everyything jspahn says except the 'weight factor'. Putting that much weight in the rear wheel of a full suspension bike messes with the responsiveness of the rear shock. I also had to put a larger tire and a bit more pressure as I kept getting pinch flats.

Moots Ti YBB are tha shizznit!!!

I have this hub on my Gary Fisher HI-Fi Pro full suspension with a singulator to keep the chain tension. Been running it on two bikes now and it is bulleproof. Really just change the oil annually.
Weight really isn't a factor unless you are going all out to have the lightest bike. You are just locating the weight in a different area of the bike.
Great setup if you ride in muddy or sandy conditions. No more chainline problems, stuck rear derailuers or any stuff like that. Focus on riding.

Top notch gruppo would cost about the same as this . Plus 1 oz. of oil every 5000 miles says this is it . Planetary gears rock , Many miles on Nexus and sturmey -archer.... Cheers .. CRITICAL MASS !!
Very good except for the price. I wish it were more affordable.
