Using a classic NES controller to manipulate the X,Y, and Z axis' of my DIY CNC machine via an arduino and 3 easydrivers from sparkfun. Find more about the project here:

What program did you use to determine the controller values for mapping? can you just use the arduino environments serial monitor?

It's certainly easier than translating a drawing into the stepper motor movements. I wonder if theres a way you could record the path you take and then play it back, thus eliminating the need to draw the cad file and get the controller to read it?
