I love what Alpina does to its BMW's (performance wise and looks) but I am not a fan of their signature rims, nice vid

@chrispou alpina still does fabulous improvement of the basis given by bmw without real competition. its never been their philosophy to focus on sheer power only. the b3sbiturbos got 400hp, which is great. how would it be possible to get 700 hp out of a 6 cylinder engine with 306? should they add a 2nd engine :) or ruin the cars balance by replacing the original 6 in-line with an improved version of bmws current v10?

I have recently heard that you are better of getting an M BMW b/c Alpina's cannot keep up with M's performance and quality, also that they are now less handling cars and more cruising. But, I still absolutely adore them.

400hp (up 40 from the previous), 0-100km/h 4,7s, top 300km/h. 540nm/4500rpm. I can live with that... oh and it has to be AlpinaBlau with traditional 18´classic Alpina wheels and no STRIPES with that shake!

so what you are saying is that Alpina is trying to fill the already really tight niche between a 335i (which really is cheating the public because it says 35 and is actually a 3.0 liter) that already has near 350hp (with the plus package that they always offer a few months later) and the 420hp M3? With the Nissan GTR you have a 500hp base with a V6 and a bunch of tuners that improve handling, style, and take it to 700hp for same price Alpina335i. The AlpinaB10 Biturbo was a real ALPINA.
