A "black eye" for the sheriff's department? Yeah, I'd say so because it's now becoming more generally accepted that cops everywhere do things all the time that's illegal. Things that would put everyday folk like you and me in jail instantly. That's what the real black eye is here, the fact that people are realizing this shit is actually rampant around their country, not that this is simply just an isolated incident.

Ohhhhhh it was soooo hard to arrest the sheriff because he was such a good guy, blah, blah, blah.
Now they are learning what the general public goes through a thousand times every DAY when these bozo's go after and arrest many other (lowly) common-folk. I'm sorry but I don't ever feel bad for these people when their "own" go to jail. They do this shit to everybody else in the world every day and they could give a shit less about you and I so that's what they get in return.
