Besides, it only makes sense that if you are English, Irish, or Scottish (or European) to any degree, your ancestors were part of a relatively small pool that emigrated here, then intermarried. Each of us is a fortunate remnant of ancient people who passed their genes along-against all odds-tens of thousands of years to the present; that is REMARKABLE! A common ancestor links us all at some point. MILLIONS perished in plagues and huge natural disasters, ending their genetic lineages.

It turns out that 60% of American families ("most") are related to British royalty. Once you get into this "club," you trace back to Charlemagne, (Roman) Emperor of the West, King of the Turks, considered to be the "Father of Western Civilization." @kengland45 I'm actually related to John Q. Adams through his wife's descendents as well, I have the family lines back through him somewhere in storage, so this little girl just filled in the rest for me. Kinda cool actually.
