Gold prospecting with the Honcoop HB17 Dredge Combo. Nikki and Audrey are dredging in Stony Creek at Pewamo, MI on 5/19/07.

A 1" nozzle guard is on the 2" suction nozzle. The tines of the header box classify to half inch. 1/2 to 3/16 material is classified to the side tray. Material 3/16 and smaller is for the 14" wide tray of the Highbanker and also the 10" wide add-on dredge tray. The 2" volume of water is spread out over 24" of riffle tray for excellent fine gold recovery.

  • Good question, that day while we were filming we did take the time to shoot the gold dust that we found did not show up in the blurry film that we had. I edited it out. The camera used to shoot the dry land dredge nozzle attachment was a better camera so the gold was able to be seen.

  • never highhbanked before, but would like to give it a try so i am trying to figure it out. question; the hb17 at the web site says it has replaced the upper/lower sluice arraingement (of the hb 14) with a single sluice, but the (hb17) vid, shows an upper sluice that is not pictured in the website? so i guess my question is , whats the deal with the upper sluice, and is it required for all (hb17) highbanking or just dredging and why ? any clarification would be appreciated thank you

  • @xanthoman01 Good question. The old HB14 design had the 3/16" and smaller material going in the bottom tray and the 3/16" to 1/2" going to the top tray. The change in the HB17 design is that now the 3/16" to 1/2" material goes to a side tray. The extra tray comes with the Dredge Kit for booth units. The 2" suction nozzle puts more water into the Headerbox than the spraybars. The extra 10" wide tray spreads the water out over 24" of width. As a Highbanker it was 14" not counting the side tray

  • Those girls were working with a lot of ENTHUSIASM--which makes me think they've found some gold before, and like the feeling!

  • You guessed it! They get such a kick showing off their gold. A true pair of gold diggers. :)

  • yay!

pimp your daughters to sell hardware.

  • Not quite.:) They are nice enough and cool enough to be my daughters but they are not.:( Just local friends that love prospecting.
