I remember being second row in a blockade the night the riot police poured out of the casino. It looked like a sea of something evil. My uni friend next to me, with whom I was standing arms linked, turned to me and exclaimed that she was scared shitless. We watched as the riot police got into formation, facing our blockade. There was a sudden auditory signal and they turned, like one machine, and ran towards a different blockade, as would animals fed raw meat and pumped on steroids...

Oh wow, sweet memories of such an empowering and important 3 days of protesting. Brilliant work on this doco! was an emotional roller coaster ride for me. That was an interesting time, what with Broadway squatt actions in Sydney, Aboriginal tent embassy in Vic park, anti-Olympic protests, and Earthdream.
