  • Surprised to hear this story in a song. There was a time all seniors over 60 should be sent to deep mountain apart from their loved families when most Asian countries were striken by great famine in late 17C. Japan was same, and probably China wasn't different. Food was extremely limited. In many countries people had to eat WHATEVER to survive. It was a national law. Son had no choice. Do you hear Jang almost cry at "Whacha use of scattering pine leaves...Mom~!!!! Japan, China were all same.

  • This song is sad story. Son is seeing his mother off.... long time ago, when korean was poor. many son threw their old mother at mountain or far from where they was living. eventhogh, mother know what son is doing but mother is concern her son. mother try to scater pine leave to get her son home easily.... very sad story...it touch me....
