I'm not a natural in front of the camera and you can tell how nervous I am. My family call me the hideway hoopaholic hooper. I have been hooping for 5 months now.

  • Sharna, I just saw this for the first time and can't believe that when you posted this you had only been hooping for 5 mos! I've been hooping (occasionally) for 2 years now, and I can't do that stuff! Good for you! Just curious, what is that song? It's awesome! I have a daughter with ADD, so it hit me especially strongly. Thanks again, so much!

  • The song is by Willy Mason and it is called "Oxegen" that's spelt wrong sorry.

  • its great to see your beginnings it gives me motivation toractice more

  • Good ol' perception !!!! Only cause you were feeling nervous......for those of us not attached.....this was a lovely lil video .....thanx & blessings to you

  • you shouldn't be nervous: you are good and and very pretty!

  • I just came across this video via a favorites list, and it's actually the first video of yours that I've watched where you were freestyling for an extending period of time.

A lot of your more recent shorter videos are like your a precise technically.

I've been hooping for almost 6 months and it's interesting to compare myself with where you were at 5 months.

Of course, you didn't have the advantage of a huge YouTube archive of inspiration, but I can see the your technician emerging here.

  • We can certainly see you coming in this one. I mean, it's early work but it's all there. The invention and the lithe movements. You are already using your feet in the hoop and your shoulders are out.

The thing that struck me the most watching this now, is the size of the hoop you are using. Your hoops are just so tiny now.

  • It's cool to see this Sharna. Your unique take on hooping shines even early in your journey and I learn even from these early, tentative steps that have become familiar terrain foryou over time.

  • I totally remember this!!!! ~ LOVING ~

  • I love you so much Sharna. You were an alien hooper even in the beginning. Your approach is like no other. You are a true inspiration and a gift to the world <3

  • pretty impressive hooping for only 5 months...and your hair was so short back then!

  • Thank you for the amazing song and performance. You are wonderful.
