This was recorded by Eddie Heywood in the 50's which was a really great arrangement on piano. This is my version on the Hammond A-100.

  • Steve; I remember this Eddie Heywood piece very well. I'm thinking that Jan August and Roger Williams might have also recorded it? I can't remember exactly. In my case I played this song in public by request many times but I never felt that I gave the tune the proper tonal flavor and swing that it needs. You however do the piece justice. I love the sound of your A-100 especially contrasted with the digital piano. Great playing and especially an appropriate break from winter. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks, Gary! This is one I had in my files from a few years ago and decided to re-upload it. My arrangement's a bit watered down from the versions you mentioned, but a bit more manageable for my aging fingers. I thought it was so appropriate for the cold weather we're having, I'll think I'll do Winter Wonderland in July!

  • Very nicely done, Steve--a favorite of mine. I inherited a B-3 from my aunt, but never had much talent. I greatly envy people like yourself who can get both sets of fingers working together to make something beautiful happen. Thanx for sharing this wonderful old Eddie Heywood tune.
