Holy s***! That is INSANE! INSANELY AWESOME! What is wrong with those people in the first few cars that crossed the tracks? Why did they not look down, see a steam locomotive coming, rub their eyes, and say "I gotta stop and see this!"?

I am amazed that the autos run the red lights, even though the train is a distance off, yet.

@arkansastrash320 Its because the speed limit is 10 mph, going across the government bridge.

Love it!!!

Woner why they were going so slow through there?Maybe cause they were in town or waiting on another train up ahead to clear a siding?Very nice video...

Of all things why did Iowa Interstate pick Chinese Steam and not American Steam? Those whistles are butt ugly and the stokers need to learn how to stoke a fire right. Too much smoke.

y dont they use diesle or how ever u spell it those engines pollute the enviroment

This is amazing. You did such a wonderful job. Thank you for the upload.

wow the drivers that ran the gates sure missed a great sight haha

Just think they still use them in China in regular service.

You know, if it weren't for the ACF covered hoppers and ADM tank cars, this train would look like it just jumped out of the early 50's!
By the way, I know the CRI&P has Mountains and Northern on its steam roster, but does it have Santa Fe types as well?
Nice video. Too bad that woman with the camera wasn't paying attention where she was. Some people live in their own world and don't somebody else with a camera!!

I suppose she thought I was only taking photos with my camera; I took the photo from the beginning with a different camera. You were right, though. She was not paying attention. I guess she does not realize that some of us are trying to record history, and do not want people dancing around in front the camera.
At least she did not do that as the QJ's approached the crossing. Thanks for the comment!
