THE BULK OF THE INSTRUCTION FOR THIS BLANKET IS IN PART 2. TURN UP VOLUME IF TOO LOW!!! This video details the materials you'll need and some preliminaries in case you have no idea how to knit. Even if you're an advanced knitter you'll want to learn THIS cast on method because it's super fast and cuts your cast on time in half! This seriously comes in handy for large projects!
I teach the Simple Cast On method in detail here but just in case you need a little extra clarification here's another link:

You'll need to know how to knit and how to purl. If you don't, here are some vids because I don't go over that in this video:

WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS FOR PART 2 UNTIL I CAN GET THE VID UP:
Here are the instructions:
After you finish the initial 10 rows of the seed stitch like you said you did, start the 11th row. Each row will be mostly like row 11 until you feel your blanket is long enough and then you do another 10 rows of seed stitch to finish off your top border just like you already did at the bottom.
Now row eleven goes like this:
1. the FIRST 5 stitches are seed stitch you already know how to do this: count each
stitch (1.knit 2.purl. 3.knit 4.purl 5. knit)
2. After you do those first 5 stitches, you knit the entire row until you only have 5 stitches
left in that row.
3. Seed stitch the LAST 5 stitches just like you did at the begining of the row (1.knit
2.purl 3.knit 4.purl 5.knit)
THAT'S IT! BUT ONE BIG DIFFERENCE FOR ROW 12:
Do everything you did for row 11 just PURL THE ENTIRE ROW IN-BETWEEN THE SEED SIDE BORDERS INSTEAD.
******
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT:
You're doing the side borders in one shot so you don't have to sew them on later. You could decide to sew all the borders on which may be easier for you but you'd have to bind off the initial border you have now (which is easy see vids on binding off) and omit the side borders I instructed you on above. Then you'd make 3 more borders just like you have now except you probably want to make the side borders thinner like I have (only 5 stitches wide) and measure your completed blanket to make sure your borders are the right length. Knitting the whole blanket in one piece is just how I did it but it may be easier to do the borders separately and sew them on later. There are plenty of instructions on the net but feel free to ask me anything if you get confused.
************MASSIVE TIP I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH BELOW!!!****************
You will know when to knit or purl the entire row in-between the side borders because THE FLAT SIDE OF THE BLANKET FACES YOU WHEN YOU NEED TO KNIT THAT ROW and when you have to PURL A ROW the BUMPY SIDE FACES YOU.
ALTERNATE ROWS 11 AND 12 FOR THE ENTIRE BLANKET UNTIL YOU GET TO THE TOP BORDER THEN DO WHAT YOU DID FOR THE BOTTOM BORDER FOR THE TOP.
