Sailing in variable 10-15 knot winds. This yacht is a tribute to Team Origin - which was set up in 2007 and had been waiting for three years to enter the America's Cup, which was delayed when the US team, BMW ORACLE Racing, took the Swiss team, Alinghi, through the US courts.

The US team won the court battle and won the 33rd America's Cup Match to become the America's Cup Defender in February 2010.

The new US Defender then announced change from mono-hull to catamaran format for the next 34th America's Cup, meaning GBR 75 became redundant having never sailing in a AC regatta & the team was subsequently shut down.

There was one bitter sweet for GBR 75 (formerly SUI 75). In August 2010 The Royal Thames Yacht Club and Team Origin hosted BMW Oracle in Cowes to compete for the 1851 trophy and the Trafalgar Cup for the match racing series which was successfully won by Team Origin, Jaguar ...
