Ah I did something similar, except far more visually interesting. Attempting to cross an intersection, going slower then a walking pace, my front tire jammed. I was learning far enough forward that when the front tire stopped, I went over the handlebars. Had toe clips, so the bike then went over me. Kicked the bike in the process, so it went flying and landed at the side of the road.
Was hoping that I was dead, as the embarrassment was terrible. Ah, fun times. Luckly it only hurt my pride.

I too have a car cost me £2000 for it... But my road bike (push bike) cost me £2500...

It turned out my hanger was bent (oo-er) but apart from that fine. Aye the roads are a bit of a mess at he moment, and they are bad over here at the best of times!

Around Ibrox and Shawfield stadia there are holes so deep there are thick wires exposed. I'm guessing they are for the traffic lights.
