  • I don't think it was attraction--but just McAvoy's acting. Remember, at the moment Mr. Tumnus learns she's a "daughter of Eve," he begins conniving to get her to his house so he can lull her to sleep and turn her over to the White Witch (as she'd instructed him to do). So...in this scene, Mr. Tumnus should be acting weird and looking at Lucy with a strange light in his eyes. It's all a part of the story!

  • just so you know, after seeing him in interviews and stuff, i think he's totally friendly and SO charming, and likeable, not AT ALL perverted thank god, and HOTT, so i guess i shouldn't have felt weird being semi attracted to the perverted faun lol

  • I love the sound he makes when Lucy asks what he is, its like "Are you freaking serious?"

  • Fucken pedophile -:o

  • Lol i read the book and i loved the part where mr tumnus was like:

"Spare oom, from the Land of War Drobe." I thought it was so creative and funny of the author. Love Narnia and the books!

  • when i saw the film 2005 i never thougt that mr tumnus will be one time one of my favourit actors (and one of the hottest). than i saw 2011 x men first class with james mcavoy and he was so sweet, amazing, so good looking and he was mr tumnus too! why i dont know it much earlier???

  • @GoldenSoulChild doesn't matter, an author can change the creature as he pleases... so mr tumnus is just a very nice faun who likes tea and dances -.- I think you say this scene is pedophile because of jame's acting... I have never thought about it like this before I read these comments here I always found this scene cute... this was never thought as perverted, if you don't believe watch BBC Chronicles of Narnia it's way different. no matter what you say THIS will always be my fav. scene..

  • @humanityforhumans ERRRRRR! WRONG. Yes, you are right about somethings like his name meaning. He WAS the god of EXCESSIVE sexual desire, amongst other things (i.e.Lord of the Woods, god of goatherds and huntsmen; ecstatic dancer; god of laughter and good humor, he was the trickster god) Which you see all of in his character throughout the movie.

Do your research, don't believe the first thing you read.

    p.s. total pedophile scene

  • @kirbyzfan ... and just because fauns are like having sex all the time in the old legends it doesn't mean that the author meant to put this into his book... wake up, it's for children. if it was like this, narnia would not be called a 'children's book'....

  • @kirbyzfan my god, this is a children's book written by a CHRISTIAN. do you really think he would put this into the book? and pan isn't a gof of sex, for your information. as far as my book about mythology says: pan is a God, yes. pan likes to frighten people by suddenly appearing out of nowhere. the word 'panic' comes from his name.he is the son of hermes the messenger of the greek gods. he looks after herdsmen and his sheep and leads hunters to their pray.
