On the evening of March 24, the capital of Europe was the showcase of international music. Twenty European stars shared the platform to perform in a major concert, that was held at the foot of the Atomium.
The show, which was broadcast by numerous European television stations, highlight Brussels as the capital of all Europeans.

"Stars of Europe Festival" aims to bring nations together through music and also through the history of the European Union. The Atomium was the European meeting place for artists, celebrities and officials, Belgian politicians, European Heads of State - all gathering together to look back over fifty years of unparalleled history.
This wonderful evening culminated in a fireworks show.


A prestigious array of guests

Live from the Atomium, the programme celebrate the European Union by invited the biggest European stars to perform live on stage. For three hours, European stars performed in multinational duos and trios:
Belgium represented by Scala, Axelle Red, Hooverphonic, Maurane, Helmut Lotti, and Ozark Henri and Kate Ryan
France with Carla Bruni and Nadiya
Italy with Zucchero
The United Kingdom represented by Simply Red, Kim Wilde and Ali Campbell from UB40
Germany with The Scorpions and Lou Bega
Spain with Miguel Angel Munoz and the Gypsy Kings
