My phone started behaving in a similar way but changing the USB CABLE between the charger and the phone solved my problem. Genuine palm USB Cable. Give it a try.

after about 4 hours now it is doing it again. So dont bother doing a complete reset.
Stupid phone.

I did a complete reset on mine pre and it seems to have fixed it. (See for how long)

I am experiencing the same thing really annoys me. Mine does not happen when charging. Just anytime while i have the stupid thing open. And to stop it i just close then open it again. I hope someone can find a permanent fix.

I have this same issue. What did you do about it? It's pissing me off. Mine does it without being plugged into the charger, it just clicks everywhere and opens a million things and so on.

I discovered it was caused by an after market charger, so I just use the one that came with it and all the problems went away
