Check out Amber Reiley's version from Glee its also amazing!

Whitney often thanked Dolly for letting her record this song. Dolly often said that she loved the way Whitney sang it. For me this will always be a Dolly Parton song. I remember hearing her sing it on The Porter Wagner Show. Yes, I'm telling my age with that admission. I have also heard Kenny Rogers sing it and love his version too. This will still be Dolly's song for me, although I like the other versions as well.

Both, Dolly and Whitney are American best singing birds.....it's impossible to choose.

Both versions are great but I still think that Dolly is just a bit better. I wish people wouldn't forget how great Dolly's version is.

Does anyone know what her husband looks like? I have never seen a pic of him.

best voice ever...shes still got it, god i adore her...
People say that this was "Whitney's song," because she was able to take the song and make it something different, something her own. Whitney was always giving credit of the song and it's beautiful lyrics to Dolly; she never pretended it was hers. To say that Whitney, God rest her soul, stole the song is absurd. I love Dolly, and I love Whitney. The two versions can't be compared, because each woman made it her own in a unique and incomparable way.
