It used to be that a mobile workstation was so much slower than an entry-level workstation that you would think twice before opting for a mobile workstation. With recent advances in mobile technology, todays mobile workstations deliver nearly the same performance and features as their deskside cousins. Here is a side-by-side view of a similarly configured entry-level workstation and a mobile workstation. As this comparison shows, mobile workstations are so close to entry-level workstation performance that you may now indeed think twice about opting for an entry-level workstation that is tethered to your desk versus a mobile workstation that enables you to create anywhere, anytime.
While the mobile workstation price may be higher than the entry-level workstation, the actual cost may be lower. Price and cost arent they the same. Not really. The cost of the mobile workstation may be less if you find yourself in situations where you are designing with your customer and not for your customer. By designing with your customer, you are with your customer making changes, testing ideas and compressing time between an idea and a product. This is in contrast to designing for your customer and repeating design review meetings in order to capture and test the new idea. Imagine how much more productive you would be if you just took three design reviews and compressed them two or even one.
Great Comparison .. thanks .
Please can you post the spec's / model Numbers of each machine (or at least processor).
