@Shunnabunich first off i want make it clear i have no loyalty to Mac's or PC(having at one point or another owned both machines)while most PC nerds may not be a genius.paying tons of money for what equates to a low end PC kind of also disqualifies most mac users as genius's as well and clearly other then yourself have not met any people whom are mac fanatics,most I've met come off as co dependent cult memebers.

@lockecole21 You're right that I haven't met many other Mac users in person, and that "cult" thing is something that bugs me about the Mac user community, too. It undermines the credibility of Mac users who are civil and reasonable, and puts off people who might otherwise give the platform a chance on its own merits.

mac and PC are equal, which one is better is up to the user. you can't simply say mac sucks because they are expensive and that PC is better because they are cheaper. from my experience with both PC and mac it really does depend on what you need the computer for and how much you are willing to spend. for those rich people yeah they will get a mac because they feel they are going to get out what they pay. but for the people on a budget macs are a big HELL NO.

@SincerestTester i myself have used both and tend to find the mac commercials funny in an ironic sense.my problem is on certain points that apple try's to use to point our as why too get a mac over a pc are some of the very same issues the mac series also suffers from the same issues referenced about the pc to some degree.such as crashing and the good ol blue screen o death.point is macs crash and while it's not blue and rarely happens the have the black screen o death.

@Shunnabunich finally someone sane.i agree with you.but most of the people whom are of the cult mentality won't try new things.the main reason i stopped using mac book pro's was i mainly have 3 uses for computers 1.video games.2 internet and 3 watching movies.while the mac book line does great at reasons 2 and 3 the lack of games and the bad experiences i had apple with products with kind of killed my interest in them.but in the end its your cash so i say buy the product you want.

@lilyeve222 i my old mac book pro especially for the the fact it crashed more often the an alcoholic epileptic driving in an earthquake while drunk.i also loved the fact that to get it repaired in the end i had to send it back to apple and it still cost me 500 dollars even with the warranty.(though true i was being sarcastic)and yes mac book pro's do crash.
