NYC 2010 Blizzard - MTA Nightmare! - December 26

NYC Transit Nightmare! Train stuck in snow storm. I was stuck for 9 Hours... and MTA had no plan no information no solution no nothing and didnt care much about anyone. MTA is horrible! someone needs to take over the system. NYC Always get snow storms, how come they weren't prepared? even the city plows did a horrible job!

We had Train Operators on trains for over 20 hours. Bus drivers stuck on their buses for more than 38 hours. Trying hard to be ready to get you your service back. So I want you all to understand that this blizzard was a force of nature that we as human beings could have never overcome, no matter what. I hope everyone has a very happy, prosperous, and blessed New Year. May this be the only storm like this we face this winter.

This was not the worst snowfall we ever had but it was the worst "Blizzard". Meaning that for the first two days of it, there was no way for Transit or Sanitation to combat it. We had 60 mph winds. Whatever we did to dig and plow was undone in 20-30 minutes, or even less. My footprints in 2 feet of snow disappeared in that time. I spent 3 days sleeping at work doing 16 hour shifts and it didn't help a damn thing. Many of us worked that hard and even more so.

The MTA did not abandon you to the contrary they attempted in severe weather conditions to get you home. Do you think the employees want to be stuck on the train with no lunch, no bathroom and ungrateful drunks. I have evacuated trains with no power, in flood conditions, with bodies underneath. I've seen grown men want to skip in front of women and children. Those crew members on that train did right by their customers, they got you to a station, they discharged the train and tried to do right.

i was on the d train but i made it to atlantic it took me about 7 hours just to get home also cuz i had t2 walk a lonq way home in the snow to my house cuz the closest train station wasn`t working -.-"
