@element4c Do you use pvc cement to join the parts?
-
i am interested in making some my self. do you have any reccomendations/ideas that i could use. i could tell you how they work and get info on them for youre book
-
@mk99017 Not real well at the moment. I have received very little input. I have built several air cannons myself but was looking for other peoples personal experience. Essentially what I wanted to do was collect as many different ideas as possible and put them into a nice pdf to share with the homemade air cannon community. I am still looking for any ideas and was serious about the book.

how is that book going???

I am interested in writing a book and would like to include ideas from many different persons. The book will be about home made air gun design. I want to include as many diagrams and pictures as possible. Would you be interested? You would be credited for all of your input.

@skullsurfer97 paintballs are about .68caliber 1/2in pvc is about .50caliber

Ah I got how you did it now. Okay so the air is kept in all the pvc before the sprinkler thing? Not just the resovoir? And last question, is there an alternative to using the sprinkler thing? Can I use anything else?
-
Dumb question, im new to this. How does the trigger work? The air is locked into the 3inch pvc chamber right? What's it kept in by and how do you block it off and then release it?
-
for the sprinkler valve do you recommend I mod it, and did the trigger come wth it? :o
Awesome gun & vid too

@skullsurfer97 Errrm... check the electrical section, like the lighting department. Just ask one of the employees who works there for a push button switch or toggle.

how big would a barrel need to be for a paintball
skullsurfer97 1 year ago
i dont know the dimensions for the internal circumference and i don't think a 1/2" pvc pipe is large enough to even hold a paintball. The paintball itself is probably 1/2" wide.

The sprinkler valve came with two exposed wires. The trigger was separate and i attached it to the wires on the sprinkler valve. Everything was purchased from Home Depot.
