How to use the archaic voting machine in New York. -Having come from California where there is wonderful sun and easy to use touch screen voting systems, this beast was (and I am sure of this) brought in with a forklift and a bit intimidating, confusing, and archaic. I'll tell you though, you feel POWER when you bring that big red lever back to the left to cast your vote! If you can pull THAT lever, you can do anything! You just voted baby!

Yeah, this was nuts. I came from CA where you use small, touch-screen computers. I didn't know that these things even existed when I came here, and when my wife told me about it I didn't believe her.

In Canada we use paper ballots. It is much less complicated

The lever machine is far superior to touch screens. It can't be hacked, it leaves a paper trail and it wasn't forced upon us by the companies who build touch-screens via their paid for congressmen.
