Im just the opposite I have 34 years of experience in the construction trade as a carpenter. The insurance training part is not bad, but with just 3 days of exactimate training which is typical training by these schools I can assure you most people including myself could not complete the required exactimate software sufficient to get paid. ( And Im better and more persistent then most on computers.) I spent a small fortune on training,air fare,hotel,car rental,food, computer,time off work. Limbo

I went to jEL Adjusting school. What they don't tell you is a contruction/contracting background is a MUST!! I have a Texas licence and I know how to scetch in Xactimate but have NO IDEA about building materials, etc. and would have no idea how to scope a loss or what I'm looking at or anything. I looking for a basic construction training.
