is it all standerd tuning but the drop D?

the way I play it is standard tuning, play a D, with your middle finger on the A string 3rd fret, then on the second strum lift your middle finger. Those are the first two notes, then you put your middle finger back on the A strong 3rd fret for a note, hammer off it, then hammer on the D strong 3rd fret, then hammer back off. So your basically keeping the D chord the whole time while hammering on and off of the A-string 3rd fret.
