The sixth of a weekly series of videos following the RAF Regiment on the frontline in Basra. II Squadron receives intelligence that insurgents are hiding rockets within range of the base and sends the Support Weapons Flight to investigate. It's not easy to get information from the local villagers as they frequently receive death threats from the local militias.

  • SW Flt = WINDOW LICKERS!

  • SW Flt Window Lickers!

  • They are all the same and they all get my 100% respect without the RAF regiment then bases could get attacked so much easier they are only trying to keep the men in the base safe. Good work lads :)

  • top lads doing a top job!

  • @coldstream dunno bout u m8 but at this moment in time i aint got owt better to do but ill chomp on ur guardsman bit. ur talkin crap m8 n u know it. thats like me saying all guardsmen are good for is polishing boots and saying hello to HRH. like iv said before we do our job you lot (army) do yours. and im ex army before you have a go. and please ask me what unit to make it even more surreal ;o)

  • @Dosedmonkey "normally better than regular army troops" my arse, you are obviously not in the military. All army infantry units are experienced fighting men because of their almost back to back deployments to the green zone, the RAF Reg are not generally combat experienced, they drive around Camp Bastion doing fuck all, that's the difference.

  • @jikkee good command skills, he clearly already knew he needed to cus of the casual quick yeh response. they are elite at security in hostile envoronments

  • As King Fredrick of Prusia once said.

"Infantry must be made of the scum of society" and " if they began to think for themselves they would not remain in the army"

  • obviously not

  • Sorry mate, guess were not all as highly trainied as you are, are we?
