STORY
Okay so. It starts with Spirit being captured by the humans, in isolation from the rest of the world. The other horses are in the train carriage with him, but due to the death of Rain, he just feels alone. Like it says, he starts to loose his mind. Drifting into sleep, Spirit finds himself in a strange dream. He is watching himself when the Colonel tries to break him, but things take a weird turn. Spirit's dream self starts to go mental and finally gets the Colonel off his back but in the end, Spirit kills him. (You dont see this) Continuing with the dream, Spirit's second self seems to turn into a demon-like creature and starts to chase him. Spirit awakens abrubtly when the demonSpirit bites him.

Spirit feels like he is loosing his mind and truely he is. His evil self takes over his true body and he turns on the other horses in the carriage. When the morning comes and the humans go to let Spirit out, he goes crazy agan and attacks them.

We then skip to him running free, happy to finally be going home to his family. Spirit thinks he is returning to his normal self, finally returning home to see his herd, but not how he had hoped. He see's two new foals, which he can see belong his mother. They had moved on. Just that little scratch on Spirit's soul and the evil starts to return. He chases the foals and ends up crushing and killing one of them.

His mother calls out for him, but its too late. Spirit's anger and insanity has taken over him. He then hunts down the herd after the attack, now wanting to find and kill his mother. In the end, he is successful, chasing his mother down and taking her life.

You see him in the end alone in the dark, regretting his actions deeply but that monster is still inside of him.
