@BAKARDAN i think is HAL9000

@Ilyastrelok1 he used the orbiter space flight simulator
-
mate, how have u done this? With what program&
-
what sort of simulator did you use for the video it looks awesome
-
@enkopingsbo Yes, I am aware of that. How many rockets were "lost" in the process of returning a module to earth before they finally got the calculations right for the correct angle, speed and reentry burns? Space aviation has captured my interest for many many years but I didn't know about this simulation yet! I'm sure going to try and find it here in Holland.

@fopneus You ware aware that they did not launch the first rocket and the first human in space at the same time right? They had Rockets in space aprox 4-5 years before he was launched

How the heck did the Russians know what altitude to orbit, what speeds to maintain, under what angle and speed to reenter the atmosphere, how to fly the S-like patterns over the earth.... amazing technology for that period in time!

Hatch, chute???? hmmmmm

I never realized how much more advanced the Vostok spacecraft were than the Mercury spacecraft.
Actually the module didn't detach for 10 minutes and Gagarin went through unbelievable rotation and g forces before the cables finally burnt and split

Yes, but this particular Orbiter addon did not have the capability to simulate that event.
